Helen J. Derrieux, 85, of Cape Girardeau, died Sunday, Dec. 29, 1991 at the Cape Girardeau Nursing Center.
She was born Oct. 3, 1906 at St. Louis, daughter of John and Ruth Bowman Hoffa.
She married Bert Long Nov. 24, 1921. He died July 1961. She then married Edward Derrieux June 1, 1963. He died April 1976.
Derrieux had been employed as a dietitian for Fulton State Hospital in Fulton and was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau and the Eastern Star.
Surviving are sons Raymond and John Long, both of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Marilyn Hock of St. Louis; a brother, Lucius Hoffa of Cleveland, Ohio; a sister, Ruth Peterson of Harvey, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
A private grave side service was held at Callaway Memorial Gardens in Fulton. Arrangements were by Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson.
