SIKESTON -- Helen Howle, 78, of Sikeston, died Sunday, June 25, 1995, at her home.
She was born Nov. 9, 1916, in Sikeston, daughter of Ephriam Jarit and Dicey Tomey Keith. She and James L. Howle were married July 1, 1944. He died Oct. 16, 1981.
The Howles had a sewing machine business more than 30 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Sikeston, Sikeston Art League, and Southeast Missouri Council on the Arts in Cape Girardeau. She was a Girl Scout leader 17 years and was a member of the board.
Survivors include two daughters, Jane Clymer of Lost Springs, Kan., Susan Werner of Sikeston, and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister and brother.
Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Alan Wollenburg officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
