Helen Lucille Hill, 93, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018, at her home, surrounded by family.
She was born Feb. 23, 1925, in Benton, Illinois, to Paul Wesley and Pauline True Pilson. She and Charles L. Hill were married Nov. 6, 1943, at Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death May 14, 1999.
She worked as a retail clerk for P.N. Hirsch in Metropolis, Illinois, and a cook at Franklin Elementary in Metropolis.
She was a member of Cape First Church in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include her two daughters, Janet (Bob) Myrick and Carol (Jerry) McGuire, both of Cape Girardeau; one son, Gary Hill of Murphysboro, Illinois; one sister, Phyllis (Ken) Kearney of Alpha, Illinois; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one brother, Bill Pilson; two grandchildren, Monicah Delane Hill Jacquot and Brockton David Hill; and two great-grandchildren, Miranda Lawrence and Brandon Lawrence.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gary Brothers officiating. Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.
