ST. LOUIS -- Helen Haupt, 86, of St. Louis died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, at Green Park Senior Center in St. Louis.
She was born Oct. 13, 1921, at Delta, daughter of Sam and Allyne Wise Jones. She married LeRoy Haupt in Jackson in 1942. He died July 29, 1994.
Haupt went to school in Millersville. She moved to St. Louis and, with her husband, opened and ran LeRoys Gift Shop and Printing Co., which later became The Winslow Co. They retired and moved to Sun City, Ariz., then back to St. Louis. She was a member of South County Baptist Church. She lived at Garden Villa Retirement Center in St. Louis.
Survivors include a son, Randy Haupt of St. Louis; a daughter, Joy Haupt of Argyle, Texas; three brothers, J.W. and Tom Jones, both of Jackson, Mike Jones of Kansas City, Mo.; four sisters, Hazel Seabaugh and Mary Fronabarger of Oak Ridge, Betty Riehn and Dean Craft of Millersville; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held Feb. 4 at Kutis Funeral Home in St. Louis. Burial was in St. Louis.
