Helen Ann Goodman, 83, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2007, at her residence.
She was born July 25, 1923, in St. Louis, the daughter of Joseph Herman and Anna Marcella Keenan Bonskowski. She was married Jan. 5, 1952, in St. Louis, to Billy Leslie Goodman, who survives of the home.
She was a 1941 graduate of St. Alfonsius High School and attended St. Louis University.
Mrs. Goodman served briefly with the U.S. Navy during World War II.
A homemaker, she was a member of St. Joseph Cathedral.
Other survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Capt. William L. Goodman, U.S.N., and Patricia of Chesapeake, Va.; three daughters, Marianne C. (Greg) Jones of Jefferson City, Anita H. Stephenson of San Diego, Calif.; and Patricia K. Goodman of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; five grandchildren, Michael Goodman, Timothy Goodman, William Goodman, Benjamin Jones and Anna Jones; two brothers, Francis (Eleanor) Bonskowski of High Ridge, Mo., Jack Bonskowski of Phoenix, Ariz.; four sisters, Marcella (George) Farwig of St. Ann, Mo., Jeanne Macinski of St. Louis, Clare Cole of O'Fallon, Mo., Mary Burke of Marietta, Ga.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Robert Joseph Goodman; two brothers, Joseph and Robert Bonskowski; and a sister, Martha Kohl.
A memorial Mass will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Cathedral, with the Rev. Jeremy A. Secrist officiating.
