BENTON, Mo. -- Helen Mae Freeman, 72, of Benton died Monday, June 19, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born May 7, 1928, in Lamar, Ark., daughter of Ernest and Sarah Ellen Harris Thomas. She and Ulysses L. Freeman were married April 13, 1946, in Hernando, Miss.
Freeman had been an inspector at International Hat Factory in Oran. She attended the Church of Christ of Morley at Morley.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Donald Freeman of Chaffee; two daughters, Teresa Ervin of Benton, Linda Kidd of Morley; a twin brother, Dub Thomas of Cahokia, Ill.; two sisters, Jean Holland of Sikeston, Ruth Powell of Oppelo, Ark.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with Bill Bradley officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens at Morley.
