Helen Marie Cordia Farrar, born March 9, 1950, in Cape Girardeau to Louis Eugene and Lilly Marie Brandon Cordia, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019. Helen Marie Cordia Farrar, born March 9, 1950, in Cape Girardeau to Louis Eugene and Lilly Marie Brandon Cordia, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019.

She and Michael Farrar were married Aug. 4, 1990, in Cape Girardeau.

She enjoyed baking cookies for Southeast Hospital Auxiliary, her family and friends. She baked well more than a million cookies. She also enjoyed scrapbooking, plastic canvas, watching Hallmark movies and long talks with her niece, Peggy S. Stieneke, and taking vacations with her husband, Michael James Farrar.

She worked at Southeast Hospital for 46 years, 11 months and 6 days as the PM dietary supervisor. She also volunteered for more than 100 hours at Southeast Hospital. She loved her church, Mercy Hill in Jackson.

She is survived by siblings, Henry (Pam) Cordia of Arizona, Alice Cordia of Cape Girardeau, Wayne Cordia of Cape Girardeau, David Cordia of Jackson and Mike (Sharlene) Brown and Stanley (Denise) Brown, both of St. Louis; and 14 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two siblings.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Funeral will follow at noon Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will follow at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be given to Mercy Hill Church, 3757 Hwy. 25, Jackson, MO 63755.
