MOUNDS, Ill. -- Helen Duncan, 95, of Mounds died Sunday, Nov. 3, 1996, at the Meridian Manor Nursing Home. She was born May 13, 1901, in Stonefort. Duncan was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church of Mound City and served as the church's organist. Her husband, Earl L. Duncan, died in 1983...

MOUNDS, Ill. -- Helen Duncan, 95, of Mounds died Sunday, Nov. 3, 1996, at the Meridian Manor Nursing Home.

She was born May 13, 1901, in Stonefort. Duncan was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church of Mound City and served as the church's organist. Her husband, Earl L. Duncan, died in 1983.

She is survived by a son, Maury Bynum of Chicago and a grandson.

Visitation will be at the Barkett Funeral Home in Mound City from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Marys Catholic Church, with the Rev. Bill McGee officiating. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery at Villa Ridge.
