CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Word has been received here of the death of Helen Gale Clark of Sacramento, Calif. Burial was in Masonic Cemetery there. Mrs. Clark was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Hitt, who farmed on Kingsway Drive. She graduated from Southeast Missouri State University, then moved to California where she received a degree from California State University, and did graduate work at the University of California at Berkley...

Mrs. Clark was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Hitt, who farmed on Kingsway Drive. She graduated from Southeast Missouri State University, then moved to California where she received a degree from California State University, and did graduate work at the University of California at Berkley.

She married George Clark in 1934.

Mrs. Clark taught school 30 years. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Rebekah Lodge, Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the American Colonists, state and national retired teachers associations, Westminster Presbyterian Church, and genealogical societies.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Robert Clark of Huntington Beach, Calif.; a daughter, Sharon Dixon of Laguna Niguel, Calif.; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
