Funeral service for Helen Bayless of Cape Girardeau will be held at 1 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. Burial will be in Mounds Park Cemetery at Lilbourn. Bayless, 74, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Nov. 17, 1923, at Mountain Grove, daughter of Ova Wilson and Sarah Ingerham Bayless.

Bayless was a member of First Baptist Church in Jackson.

Survivors include two brothers, Joe and Dan Bayless of Riverside, Calif., and a friend, Laura Hampoon of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
