Heather Nicole Miget-Spear, 48, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2024, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 17, 1975 in Perryville to Kenneth C. and Charlotte A. Lukefahr Miget.

Heather married Don Spear on Nov. 23, 2013.

Heather served people throughout her life. She shared her smile, her cackling laughter and witty sense of humor with many through serving as a waitress, bartender, ambulance emergency medical technician and security supervisor at the casino in Cape Girardeau.

Even though she did not always enjoy cooking in her early years, she loved cooking dumplings and pie with her Grandma Lukefahr. It was her Grandma Miget who sparked her love of fishing.

Heather loved animals and spent time volunteering at Mac's Mission, a shelter for animals with special needs. Her other great love was her family and friends. Spending time with those she loved was what she did. Heather had an infectious laugh and smile with the ability to make anyone she met feel special and loved, like they were her best friend.
