JONESBORO, Ill. -- Hazel Verble, 89, of Jonesboro, formerly of Wolf Lake, Ill., died Friday, Nov. 4, 2005, at her home.
She was born on Sept. 9, 1916, at Beech Grove, Ill., daughter of Thomas and Dora Smith Rhodes.
She and Dennis Verble were married Nov. 24, 1935, at Anna, Ill. He died July 9, 1974.
She was a seamstress and had worked at Choate Mental Health Center. She was a lifelong member of Beech Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, James Verble of Dover, Fla., Ronald Verble of Carmi, Ill.; two daughters, Linda Jordan of Rockford, Ill., Rosemary Pender of Jonesboro; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Scott Harner officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
