Hazel Schloss, 94, of Jackson died Monday, March 23, 2009, at Jackson Manor.
She was born March 22, 1915, at Oriole, daughter of Pearl and Jeffie Abernathy Sides. She and William Schloss were married May 27, 1938, at Benton, Mo. He died Nov. 5, 1994.
Schloss was an assistant 13 years for Dr. Eugene McDonald in Jackson. She was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Naomi Circle and Altenthal-Joerns American Legion Post 158 Auxiliary.
Survivors include a nephew, W.L. Voges of Jackson; four nieces, Donna Price of Cape Girardeau, Brenda Emerson, Linda Craig-Oyr and Betty Wambel, all of St. Louis.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to service time Friday at New McKendree United Methodist Church.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Jimmie Corbin officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
