BLOOMFIELD -- Funeral service for Hazel Marquis of Bloomfield was held Sunday at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Chapel. Burial was in Gravel Hill Cemetery near here.
Marquis, 76, died Thursday, Sept. 17, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Aug. 26, 1916, in Ullin, Ill., daughter of Evertt and Minnie Woodward Lackey. She married Vernon Marquis Jan. 2, 1935, at Bell City. He died July 14. 1992.
Marquis was a member of West Pleasant Valley Methodist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Jerry Marquis of Marble Hill, Dennis Marquis of Puxico, Jackie Marquis of Bloomfield; a daughter, Janice Hutson of Dexter; a brother, Evertt Lackey of Bloomfield; two sisters, Wilma Litteral of Dexter, Bonnie King of Puxico; 15 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
A son prececed her in death.
