PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Hazel D. Manche, 92, of Perryville, died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born Oct. 15, 1923, on Crane's Island in Randolph County, Illinois, daughter of Leon and Getty Griffin Moranville. She and Howard J. Manche were married April 23, 1949. He preceded her in death Feb. 14, 1986.
Hazel was a retired manager at Barnwell Apartments for 27 years. She loved her gardening and flowers and Cardinals baseball. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Survivors include three sons and one daughter, Calvin (Kathy) Manche and Rodney (Pam) Manche, all of Perryville, Rebecca Lowes of Farmington, Missouri, and Clinton Manche of Perryville; two sisters, Lena Esselman and Elsie Turner, both of Chester, Illinois; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, six brothers, two sisters and one infant grandson.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Young and Sons Funeral Home, with a Catholic wake at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home, with a rosary at 8:30 a.m.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred for Masses.
