ANNA, Ill. -- Hazel Halterman, 78, of Anna, died Sunday, March 15, 1992, at Union County Hospital.

She was born May 12, 1913, at Cypress, daughter of Charles Samuel and Ollie Day Casper Peeler. She married Austin O. Halterman Nov. 2, 1936, in Marion.

Halterman attended Camp Ground Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a member of Forty Third Avenue Presbyterian Church in Gary, Ind., member of Anna Chapter 522 Order of Eastern Star, and Royal Neighbors of America.

Survivors include her husband; a son, David Halterman of Crown Point, Ind.; a daughter, Linda Krueger of Dale, Texas; two brothers, Wayne Peeler of Anna, Edison Peeler of Seattle, Wash., and three grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Camp Ground Church. The Revs. Bill Darnell and Earl Roberts will officiate, with burial in Camp Ground Cemetery.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.
