HAZEL DRISKILL

BELL CITY -- Funeral service for Hazel M. Driskill will be held at 2 p.m. today at Garden Ridge General Baptist Church near Bell City. The Revs. Rick Roberts and Everett Hessling will officiate. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.

Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home at Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.

Driskill, 85, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 1998, at Dexter.

She was born Aug. 28, 1912, at Lilbourn, daughter of Edward H. and Polly Ann Brockwell Hessling. She and Carl Driskill Sr. were married Nov. 3, 1929. He died Nov. 21, 1990.

Driskill was a charter member of Garden Ridge Church, and taught the children's Sunday School class more than 50 years.

Survivors include a daughter, Nelda Eakin of Dexter; two sons, Carl Driskill Jr. of Panama City, Fla., Norman Driskill of Louisville, Ky.; a sister, Grace Davis of Sikeston; two brothers, Eugene Hessling of Dexter, George Hessling of Glen Carbon, Ill.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers.
