SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Memorial service for Hazel Smith Bucher of Fort Myers, Fla., will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Illmo United Methodist Church. The Rev. James Woeltje will officiate. Private burial will be in Lightner Memorial Cemetery.

There is no visitation.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City is in charge of arrangements.

Bucher, 93, died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2000, at her home.

She was born May 21, 1907, in East St. Louis, Ill., daughter of John Bert and Addie Mae Weeks Moore. She and Raymond Smith were married in 1925. She later married James Bucher. Both preceded her in death.

Bucher was formerly of Scott City. She was a licensed practical nurse.

She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary to Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, Order of Eastern Star, White Shrine of Jerusalem, and Estero United Methodist Church in Estero, Fla. She also attended Open Door Church in Bonita Springs, Fla.

Survivors include two daughters, Nita Watkins of Bonita Springs, Rita Johnson of Little Rock, Ark.; a sister, Geneva Davis of Janesville, Wis.; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter and four brothers.
