ANNA, Ill. -- Hazel Barnwell, 90, of Anna died Saturday, June 24, 1995, at her home.
She was born March 5, 1905, in Johnson County in Illinois, daughter of William E. and Lula P. Whiteside Gray. She and Paul Barnwell were married Dec. 26, 1941, in Kahoka, Mo. He preceded her in death on May 23, 1984.
Barnwell was a member of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Anna and the Women's Association at the church. She was also a member of the Anna-Jonesboro Women's Club.
Survivors include two brothers, John H. Gray of Naples, Fla., and Kenneth F. Gray of Simpson, Ill.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Steve Wilkinson officiating. Burial will be at the Gilead Cemetery in Johnson County.
