SIKESTON -- Hazel Elnora Ashcraft, 56, of Sikeston died Sunday, Dec. 12, 1999, at Sikeston Convalescent Center. She was born Aug. 27, 1943, at Kennett, daughter of Clyde Oliver and Helen Lucille Seals Ammerman Crockett. She and Amon Benson Ashcraft were married Aug. 1, 1976, at Sikeston...

SIKESTON -- Hazel Elnora Ashcraft, 56, of Sikeston died Sunday, Dec. 12, 1999, at Sikeston Convalescent Center.

She was born Aug. 27, 1943, at Kennett, daughter of Clyde Oliver and Helen Lucille Seals Ammerman Crockett. She and Amon Benson Ashcraft were married Aug. 1, 1976, at Sikeston.

Ashcraft had been a waitress at Gaslight Square and an efficiency analyst with Hopper and Hawkins in Dallas, Texas. She was a member of Parker Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Trinity Church.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Hank and William House, address unknown, Ronald Ford of Sikeston; two daughters, Vallie House, address unknown, Starr Harden of Sikeston; a brother, Charles Ammerman of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a half brother, Clyde Ammerman of Vincennes, Ind.; two half sisters, Johnetta Ward of Myrtle Beach, Cindy McGregor of Vincennes; and 11 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

Friends may call at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Maxey Schrieber officiating. Burial will be in Matthews Cemetery.
