HAZEL ARTERBERRY

ANNA, Ill. -- Hazel L. Arterberry, 91, of Anna died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2000, at the Union County Hospital in Anna.

She was born July 10, 1909, in Cobden, Ill., the daughter of Will and Maude Dillow Yates. She married Ed Arterberry on Oct. 26, 1929. He died March 19, 1986.

She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Edith Pribble of Jonesboro, Ill.; two sisters, Thelma Smith of St. Louis and Maxine Hinkle of Jackson, Mich.; a brother, Herman Yates of Oregon; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her parents, an infant grandson and several brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the Crain Funeral Home in Anna.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Gene Hart officiating.

Burial will be at the Ebenezer Hall Cemetery.
