SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Hazel Allen of Sikeston will be held at 2 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Chapel. The Revs. Dale McFarland and Randy Thomas will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Allen, 79, died Monday, Jan. 17, 1994, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 16, 1914, in Malden, daughter of George F. and Clora Mae Ballard Dockins. She and Leonard Allen were married 59 years. He died April 12, 1992.
Allen had worked at International Shoe Co., and was a member of North Acres General Baptist Church.
Survivors include two brothers, Chalmer Dockins of Sikeston, Donald Dockins of St. Louis; four sisters, Mildred Robinson of Rialto, Ill., Helen Crouthers of Wood River, Ill., Margrete Crites of Piedmont, and Ruby McNail of Centerville.
She was preceded in death by a son, daughter, two brothers and a sister.
