CAIRO, Ill. -- Hayden I. "PeeWee" Keith, 92, of Cairo died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Nov. 30, 1907, in Weakley County, Tenn., son of Stephen and Ever Wagster Keith. His wife, Syble, died in 1971.
Keith retired as a glass cutter with Bourland Paint Co. He was a member of Alexander-Pulaski County Farm Bureau.
Survivors include a son, George Keith of Granite City, Ill.; a friend, Mary Harris of Cairo; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son and two grandsons.
Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard Pigg officiating. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery at Mounds, Ill.
