She was born Feb. 16, 1919, in Charleston, Miss., daughter of Scott and Carrie Whallie Spillers.
She was a member of the Mercy Seat Baptist Church, where she served on the usher board since 1955. She also was a member of the mother board and the Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include three sons, Joe Shelby and Bobby L. Moore of Charleston and Eddie Jackson of Davenport, Iowa; seven daughters, Almetta Pearson, Dorothy Bankhead and Ruth Harrington of Davenport, Barbara Moore, Shirley Murray and Rose Graham of Charleston, and Delmarie Moore of Jefferson City, Mo.; 61 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Sparks Funeral Home.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mercy Seat Baptist Church, with the Rev. J.L. Posey officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery at Charleston.
