SIKESTON -- Mrs. Hattie Mae Martin, 82, formerly of Sikeston, died Monday, April 29, 1991, at Bertrand Retirement Home. She was born Oct. 30, 1907, in Aliceville, Ala., daughter of Jim and Clara Bonner Gardner. She married William Otis Martin Sept. 24, 1965, at Benton. He died April 20, 1978...

SIKESTON -- Mrs. Hattie Mae Martin, 82, formerly of Sikeston, died Monday, April 29, 1991, at Bertrand Retirement Home.

She was born Oct. 30, 1907, in Aliceville, Ala., daughter of Jim and Clara Bonner Gardner. She married William Otis Martin Sept. 24, 1965, at Benton. He died April 20, 1978.

She was a member of New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church near Haywood City.

Survivors include two sisters, Climmie Trust of St. Louis, and Bessie Crowell of Aliceville.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at New Morning Star Church. The Rev. Willie Matlock will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery. Amick-Burnett Funeral Home at Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.

Friends may call Saturday at the church from noon until time of service.
