HATTIE LEGRAND

JACKSON -- Hattie LeGrand, 98, formerly of Jackson, died Thursday, Dec. 9, 1999, at St. Elizabeth Manor in Florissant.

She was born Jan. 19, 1901, in Millersville, daughter of James A. and Missouri A. Young Slinkard.

She had been employed by the former International Shoe Company in Cape Girardeau, Premium Cap Co., and Elder Garment Manufacturing Co., in St. Louis.

Survivors include a daughter, Lucille Reece of St. Louis; and a grandson.

She was preceded in death by five husbands, Roy Niswonger, Roy Faust, Wessie Lynn, Fred Brown, and Adam LeGrand and five sisters.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson between 4-7 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Rev. Dennis Bell officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
