OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Harvey D. "Dale" Williams, 67, of Joliet, Ill., formerly of Olive Branch, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006, at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Harvey D. "Dale" Williams, 67, of Joliet, Ill., formerly of Olive Branch, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006, at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.

He was born March 26, 1939, in Olive Branch, son of Virgil and Muriel Smiley Williams. He married Evelyn Foster, who survives.

Mr. Williams retired from Kerr Glass in Plainfield, Ill., after 42 years of service. He was president of Sunnyland Sanitary District.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Evelyn of Joliet; three sons, Larry (Pam) Williams and Donald Williams of Joliet, David (Renee) Williams of Morris, Ill.; a daughter, Valerie (Jeffrey Toutans) Michaels of Joliet; nine grandchildren, Brittany, Christian and Brett Williams, Aimee, Beth and Luke Williams, Garrett Williams, Trevor and Cody Michaels.

Also surviving is a brother, Lester (Gerry) Williams of Joliet; a sister, Hester (Raymond) McCrite of Tamms, Ill.; a half sister, Mary Catherine Haynes of Detroit, Mich.; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Chastaty Michaels (1994); a brother, Tommy; a sister, Lucille Baird; and mother-in-law, Georgianna Foster Papanek.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to service time Monday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Joshua McKinney officiating. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery.
