HARVEY F. PROST

PERRYVILLE - Harvey F. Prost, of Perryville, died Aug. 7, 1991 at Perry County Hospital in Perryville. He was 85.

Prost owned Prost Motor Co. in Perryville. He was born in Perry County Jan. 18, 1916, the son of Emmett Prost and Rose Huber.

He married Earlene J. Emmendorfer June 8, 1940 in Perry County. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Charlene Schawacker of St. Louis and Carol Strattman of Cape Girardeau; a son and daughter, Roger F. Prost and Gladys Unterriner, both of Perryville; and two brothers, Gilmore and Merlin, also of Perryville.

Five grandchildren also survive.

Prost was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Fourth Degree, past chief of the Perryville Auxiliary Police Department, and past director of Perry County Civil Defense. He was also a member of the Western Catholic Union.

Visitation will be at Drayton Funeral Home in Perryville from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday, with a wake service at 7 p.m. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.

Henry Grodecki will officiate.

Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
