Harry Williams

Harry Lee Williams, 84, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Dec. 31, 2004, at his home.

He was born July 5, 1920, at Cape Girardeau, son of Ren and Della Robins Williams. He and Iona Sebastian were married on June 21, 1963, at Cape Girardeau.

Williams worked for Canedy Signs in Sikeston, Mo., and for General Sign in Cape Girardeau, retiring in 1982. He was a partner in Lost Creek Lodge at Wappapello Lake. He also played on KFVS radio in the early 1940s.

He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, serving in the Navy. He also served in the Panama Canal, Pearl Harbor, Marshall Islands and Guam. He joined the Reserves in 1948 and back to duty for the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Della Lukow of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters.

Friends may call today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. James Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
