CAIRO, Ill. -- Harry W. Armstrong Sr., 73, of Cairo, died Saturday afternoon, July 9, 1994 at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Dec. 21, 1920 in Topeka, Kan., to the late Arthur A. and Alma (Carlson) Armstrong.
He was of the Baptist faith.
He retired as a branch manager with Nabisco Foods, Inc., after 44 years.
Survivors include his wife Betty Armstrong of Cairo, daughter Julie Washam of San Antonio, Texas, three sons, Arry Armstrong Jr., of Cairo, Scott Armstrong of Charleston, S.C., and Curtis Armstrong of Olney, Ill. He is survived by 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Visitation will be at the Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo where friends may call after 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 12.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday July 13 at the Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo with Rev. Bill Gholson officiating.
Interment will follow at the Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge. Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo will handle the arrangements.
