ORAN -- Harry A. Reese, 85, of Oran died Sunday, March 7, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 5, 1914, in Cape Girardeau County, son of John F. and Virginia E. Tanner Reese. He first married Dorothy Brown in 1935. She died in 1978. He and Norma Lovellette were married April 11, 1980, in Cape Girardeau.
Reese retired as a maintenance worker with Missouri State Highway Department. He was a member of the United Methodist Church at Oran. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Ray Reese of Burbank, Calif.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother, and a sister.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-9 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Ed Carter officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
