CYPRESS, Ill. -- Funeral for Harry Osman of Cypress will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola, Ill. The Revs. Jay Franklin and Clifton Lingle will officiate. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery at Cypress.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Friday.
Osman, 88, died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2000, at his home.
He was born Oct. 16, 1912, at Chaffee, Mo., son of Henry and Melvina Hinkle Osman. He and Mary Sowers were married Feb. 5, 1942.
Osman retired as postmaster at Cypress. He was a member and deacon of Bethany Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Philip Osman of Cypress; two sisters, Henrietta Osman and Betty Anderson of Anderson, Ind.; two grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
