Harry M. Edwards Sr., 72, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 1994, at the Veterans Home.
He was born June 12, 1921, at Lilbourn, Mo., son of Marcellus and Mamie Calvert Edwards.
He married Marybelle Vogel, Dec. 18, 1943, at Vista, Calif.
Edwards was a photographer for KFVS television for many years. He later owned and operated Cape Cleaners.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served in 140th Infantry of U.S. Army in Italy. He received the Purple Heart.
He was a member of the Golden Troopers, the VFW, the Elks Lodge and the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Mark Edwards of Millersville; a daughter, Donna Coram of San Antonio, Texas; and a grandchild.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today at the Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel.
Graveside funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Mary's Cemetery, with the Rev. Richard Lause, C.M., officiating. There will be military honors and graveside military rites performed by VFW Post 3838,
Burial will follow.
