PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Harry L. Lottes, 90, of Perryville died Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 16, 1922, in Perry County, son of John and Louise Elder Lottes. He and Genevieve G. Caroe were married Sept. 20, 1947. She preceded him in death July 26, 2002.

Mr. Lottes formerly owned and operated Rozier's Mercantile. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, Perryville Lions Club, Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents, American Legion Post 133, VFW Post 4282 and president of Rozier's Mercantile.

He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II.

Survivors include three sons, Richard Lee Lottes of Ste. Genevieve, Jim Lottes and friend Patsy Hahn and Charles (Sue) Lottes of Perryville; a daughter, Barbara (Steve) Briggs of Spring Hill, Kan.; eight grandchildren, Kristy (John) Hettenhausen, Matt Lottes, Greg (Krystal) Lottes, Jennifer (Jason) Pingel, Jessica (Bobby) Beeler, Harry, Charles and Joseph Briggs; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; three brothers, Joe, John and Edward Lottes; three sisters, Evelyn Haman, Mildred Vogel, Helen Klump; and a daughter-in-law, Jane.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. A parish wake will be at 7:30 p.m. today.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan and the Rev. John Gagnepain concelebrating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery with military graveside rites provided by American Legion Post 133 and Missouri Delta Team.

Memorials are preferred to St. Vincent schools.
