MARBLE HILL -- Harry J. Spies, 64, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, March 18, 2000 at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born March 3, 1936, in Chicago, son of Edgar and Ella Tulo Spies.
He was a retired maintenance worker. He was an Army veteran.
He marred Darlene Schmitt. She preceded him in death in 1987.
Survivors include a son, John Spies of Cape Girardeau; three brothers, Edward Spies, Charles Spies and Walter Spies, all of Chicago; a sister, Betty Zook, of Rankin, Ill.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill after 10 a.m. Monday.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Randy Poole officiating. Burial will be in Balch Chapel Cemetery near Zalma.
