Harry D. Robinson, 95, of Cape Girardeau and formerly of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Monday, Jan. 11, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Oct. 13, 1903, in Dallas, Texas, son of T.D. and Maggie E. Heitman Robinson. He married Marjorie M. Hamlin Oct. 13, 1933, in Auburn, Ill. She survives.
He was an engineer for the Iowa Highway Commission and later worked in the sales department at Martin Roasa Tractor and Equipment in Cedar Rapids. He was a volunteer at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
He also is survived by two sisters, Rose Purdom and Jesse Mae Lottes, both of Cape Girardeau, along with nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four sisters.
Private memorial services will be held in Cape Girardeau, and his ashes will be buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Palmyra at a later date.
The Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra is in charge of arrangements.
