SIKESTON -- Harris Elbert Wright, 82, of Sikeston died Thursday, Aug. 1, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born on March 3, 1914, in Finley, Tenn., son of William and Lula Harris Wright.
He married Bessie M. Roach Aug. 25, 1934, in Lepanto, Ark.
He had been a truck driver for several car and farm equipment haulers. He was a member of Morehouse Assembly of God Church, Sikeston Fraternal Order of Eagles Aries 3319 and Sikeston Masonic Lodge 310 A.F. & A.M.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Billy Don Wright of Florissant and Jimmie Lee Wright of Decatur, Ala.; two sisters, Dorothy Butrum of Pine Bluff, Ark., and Doris Zimmerman of Sikeston; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter and brother.
Friends may call from 5-8 tonight at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Rick L. Krietemeyer officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
