THEBES, Ill. -- Harriet L. Roark, 82, of Thebes died Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at her home.
She was born Feb. 3, 1931, in Hammond, Ind., to Joseph and Agnes Kielbasa Kowalczyk. She and James C. Roark were married Aug. 11, 1951, in Hammond. He preceded her in death March 9, 2011.
Harriet was a member of St. Mary Cathedral.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph Roark (Darlene) of Festus, Mo., and David Roark (Gaileen) of Thebes; three daughters, Diane Schmidt (Robert) of Altenburg, Mo., Barbara Woshner (Lawrence) of Dallas, and Marybeth Skinner (Jeff) of Bloomington, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and four sisters.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Cathedral in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Tom Kiefer officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
