ANNA, Ill. -- Harold "Tidley" Poole, 90, of Anna died Friday, March 9, 2001, at the V.A. Hospital in Marion, Ill.
He was born Dec. 8, 1910, in Mill Creek, Ill. He and Melba Lingle were married Jan. 10, 1946, in Jonesboro, Ill. He was employed as a barber for many years and was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of VFW Post 3455 in Anna, Ill., and a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; and one son, Lonnie Poole of Anna.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Military rites will be conducted at the graveside by the VFW Carroll P. Foster Post 3455 of Anna.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Verlee Eaker officiating. Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery.
