Harold "Mac" McDowell, 63, of Jackson went to the arms of his heavenly father Wednesday, March 4, 2015.

He was born Oct. 2, 1951, to James and Vivian Ellis McDowell in Oroville, California.

He was the beloved husband of Dolores McDowell. They were married Jan. 19, 1991, in Modesto, California.

"Mac" was an avid golfer, a beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and a true friend.

He retired from Procter & Gamble after 36 years of loyal service.

He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Kari and Nick Guerrero of Turlock, California, Kristen and John Hamilton of Valley Spring, California, and Monica Sweet of Jackson; son, Martin and Yoko Dominguez of Nashville, Tennessee; proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren, Madison and Brooke Arnebeck, Connor, Mackenzie and Wyatt Hamilton, Leanna, Lauren, Melissa Dominguez, Glenn Plank III, Estephan and Ellena Dominguez; three siblings, Frank McDowell, Twila Volpa and Bryan McDowell; and two great-grandchildren, Joshua Booth Jr. and Reina Dominguez.

"Mac" was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Sharon Clark and Judith Bundy.

A celebration of his life and a memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Christ Episcopal Church, 101 N. Fountain St., Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Edie Bird officiating.

The family is requesting in place of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society, Cape Girardeau Safe House for Women or Southeast Hospice.
