JONEBORO, Ill. -- Harold D. Mayberry, 70, of Jonesboro died Saturday, June 12, 2004, at the VA Medical Center at Marion, Ill.
He was born Feb. 10, 1934, at Jonesboro, son of Charles and Clola Brown Mayberry. He and Caran Tellor were married in 1983 at Cape Girardeau.
Mayberry worked as a carpenter for several years, and he was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Michael Mayberry of Carterville, Ill.; a stepdaughter, Julie Blanchard of Olmsted, Ill.; a step-son, George Land of Jonesboro; two brothers, Carl and Charles Mayberry Jr., both of Anna, Ill; two sisters, Anita Harris of Jonesboro and Bessie Galiher of Florence, Ky.; three granddaughters; and two great-granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by a brother, a sister and a grandson.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the Hileman Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Stamp officiating. Burial will be in Valley Mission Cemetery.
