DEXTER -- Funeral for Harold Amos Leek of Dexter will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. Doyle Corlew will officiate, with burial in Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Poplar Bluff.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.

Leek, 76, died Sunday, April 5, 1998, at his home.

He was born Oct. 3, 1921, at Morehouse, son of Amos and Allie Williams Leek. He and Irene Christian were married July 18, 1941, at Charleston.

Leek was retired from General Motors Corp. in Flint, Mich. Formerly of Morehouse, he lived in Flint 30 years, and moved to Dexter in 1979. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Tony Leek of Otisville, Mich., Lloyd Leek of Burton, Mich., Randy Leek of Dexter; three daughters, Sondra Dotson of Burton, Carroll Hoops of Flint, Kathie Huntley of Beulah, Mich.; a brother, Murel Leek of Dexter; two sisters, Irene Proffer of Poplar Bluff, Betty Foust of Harviell; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
