GORDONVILLE -- Harold Louis "Chug" Skelton, 69, died Saturday, May 28, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born July 11, 1924, at Benton, son of Joe and Pearl May Brunner Skelton. He and Dorothy Willa were married Aug. 3, 1966, at Gordonville.
Skelton was a truck driver with Macke Farm Service and Co-Op, retiring in the early 1980s. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church here, charter member of Gordonville Fire Department, member of Altenthal-Joerns American Legion Post 158 and VFW Post 10495 in Jackson.
He served with the U.S. Army during World War II in the Alaskan Theatre.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Brad Skelton of Gordonville; a daughter, Carmen Robinson of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Leo Skelton of Caruthersville, Charles Skelton of Gordonville; a sister, Evelyn Dake of Jackson, and a grandson.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
