Harold James Drysdale, 73, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, March 31, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born May 8, 1926, at St. Louis, son of James and Metta Yount Drysdale. He and Cledith Stilwell were married Jan. 4, 1974, in Farmington.
Drysdale served in the Navy during World War II.
He was self-employed in the heating and cooling and commercial refrigeration business in Farmington. He also worked for Ramsey Plumbing, Heating and Cooling in Cape Girardeau and Central Hardware in Cape Girardeau. He retired in 1990. He was a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Cape Girardeau, VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau and Union Local 2 in St. Louis.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, David Drysdale of Arnold and Richard Drysdale of St. Louis; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one son, one brother and one sister.
Friends may call at Ford & Sons Funeral Home Mount Auburn Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Darrell Faire Sr. and the Rev. John Gourley officiating. Graveside rites will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Doe Run Memorial Park in Doe Run with full military honors.
