Harold Leon Glasscock, 58, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Dec. 1, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 12, 1939, in Cape Girardeau, son of George Washington and Cora Jane Williams Glasscock. He and Amanda Jean Walker were married Sept. 2, 1971, in Poplar Bluff.

Glasscock was a 1960 graduate of Central High School. He had worked at Dow Chemical, and later was a custodian with Cape Girardeau Public Schools. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church and Disabled American Veterans.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Harold Glasscock Jr.; a daughter, Cora Hall, both of Cape Girardeau; four brothers, Ralph and William Glasscock of Cape Girardeau, Aaron Proffer of Scott City, Bobby Proffer of Morton, Ill.; and a granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at the chapel at 1 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Gary Brothers will officiate, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.
