ANNA, Ill. -- Harold E. Bartruff, 66, of Anna, died Sunday, Sept. 15, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born Dec. 13, 1924, at Anna, son of Walter and Bertha Lela Jerrell Bartruff. He and Joan Tweedy were married Feb. 17, 1951, at Jonesboro...

ANNA, Ill. -- Harold E. Bartruff, 66, of Anna, died Sunday, Sept. 15, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Dec. 13, 1924, at Anna, son of Walter and Bertha Lela Jerrell Bartruff. He and Joan Tweedy were married Feb. 17, 1951, at Jonesboro.

Bartruff was retired from Anna Mental Health Center. He was a member of Lick Creek Masonic Lodge, Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455 of Anna, and Disabled American Veterans. Bartruff was a veteran of World War II and former POW.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Terry Bartruff of Anna, Bryan Bartruff of Jonesboro; a sister, June Osman of Anna, and three grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Norris and Son Funeral Chapel in Jonesboro, with the Rev. Robert Goins officiating. Military graveside rites will be conducted by VFW Post 3455.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. today.
