Harold Dwayne Roberts, 59, of Cape Girardeau Route 1, died Thursday, Dec. 5, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. He was born Aug. 31, 1932 at Sandwich, Ill., son of Melvin and Loreita Veteto Roberts. He was employed as an installer for Western Electric for 20 years. Harold Dwayne Roberts, 59, of Cape Girardeau Route 1, died Thursday, Dec. 5, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Aug. 31, 1932 at Sandwich, Ill., son of Melvin and Loreita Veteto Roberts.

He was employed as an installer for Western Electric for 20 years. He was a member of Iona Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau County and the Communication Workers of America.

On March 8, 1952, he married Darlene Tripp at Pocahontas, Ark. She survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Kenneth Roberts of Cape Girardeau, Larry Roberts of Dallas and James Roberts of Advance; two daughters, Phyllis Brunke of Jackson and Bonnie Sperry of Wichita, Kan.; one sister, Marie Barentine of El Dorado, Ark.; and seven grandchildren.

One brother preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Iona Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Dodson officiating. Burial will be in McLains Chapel Cemetery in Cape Girardeau County.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
