VILLA RIDGE, Ill. -- Harold Dean Crippen, 69, of Mounds, Ill., died Friday, May 13, 1994, at his home.
He was born Nov. 22, 1924 in Grand Chain, Ill., the son of Waley Crippen and Nora Victor Brett Crippen.
He was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Cairo and a deacon, as well as a member of Caledonia Lodge #47 AF&AM of Pulaski.
Crippen was a truck driver 40 years with the Cairo Ready Mix Co. in Cairo.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine Prim Crippen of Mounds; one son, Joseph Crippen of Gilbert, Ariz.; one daughter, Connie Kennedy of Bluffton, S.C.; four sisters, Almeda Benson of Alabaster, Ala., Olive Freeman of Homewood, Ala., Pauline Smith of San Mateo, Calif., and Geraldine Luzar of Farmington, Mich.; and one grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Southern Baptist Church in Cairo, with the Rev. Bill Gholson officiating. Internment will be in the Cache Chapel Cemetery east of Ullin.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Monday at the Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge, and after 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral Tuesday.
