MOUND CITY, Ill. -- Harold D. Jones, 81, of Mound City, Ill., died Sunday, Aug. 8, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Dec. 23, 1911, at Conrad, Mo., son of Everett and Anna Barth Jones.

He married Altha Modglin in 1935, at Cairo, Ill.

He was a retired construction laborer.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Louise Calvin and Shirley Douglas, both of Mound City, Ill.; two sisters, Ester Bonney of Bloomdale, Mo., Virginia Johnston of St. Louis; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge.

Graveside funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Green Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Villa Ridge, Ill. The Rev. Vester Keefee will officiating.

Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Villa Ridge, Ill.
