Graveside service for Harold Joseph Brown of Cape Girardeau will be held at 11 a.m. today at Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield. The Rev. Donny Ford will officiate.

Brown, 84, died Tuesday, April 25, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born July 30, 1915, at Essex, son of Joseph and Alma Bess Brown.

Brown had been a maintenance worker with Cape Girardeau Public Schools, and had worked for Cape-St. Louis Bus Line.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include a cousin, Norma Smiddy of Cape Girardeau.
